About Us

The Inland Empire Women’s Business Center was founded in 2003 by Mike Stull. Michelle L. Skiljan was the founding director and Paula Bahamon was the assistant director.

The WBC's mission is to empower the women of the Inland Empire to become successful and financially independent through entrepreneurship. At every stage of developing and expanding a successful business, the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center is there to counsel, teach, encourage and inspire!

Since its inception, we have assisted with:

Our FOUNDERS

Dr. Mike Stull

Founder - Mike Stull 

Mike has more than 30 years of entrepreneurial and business experience that includes work in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. Mike now serves as the Director of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship (IECE) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). He also serves as Chair for the Department of Management in the College of Business and Public Administration and academic director for entrepreneurship at CSUSB. Under his leadership the program has raised over $28 million in grants, contracts and sponsorship and achieved national acclaim, including ranking as the #4 graduate entrepreneurship program in the U.S. from The Princeton Review & Entrepreneur Magazine, receiving the prestigious National Excellence in Entrepreneurship Education Award in 2010 from the United States Association for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (USASBE) and selected as one of the top 35 entrepreneurship programs globally in 2017 by AACSB International. In addition he has been recognized for his innovation and excellence in teaching entrepreneurship with both College and Department teaching awards, and received the Entrepreneur of the Year (EOY) award from Ernst & Young.

 

Michelle Skiljan Bio

Founding Director - Michelle Skiljan

 Michelle Skiljan was the founding Director of the Inland Empire Women's Business until 2022. During Michelle’s tenure, the IEWBC raised nearly 5 million dollars in federal and match funding, trained over 45,000 workshop participants, provided business counseling for 3,452 business owners and generated regional economic impact of over 17 million dollars. Michelle was recognized by the National Association of Women’s Business Owners Inland Empire Chapter as the 2014 Corporate Entrepreneur. In 2007 she was recognized as a Community Bridge Builder. She has also been recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration District IX as Women’s Business Center Director of the year.
